Croup and being couped up

Emma got croup the other week and it was horrible. So we were couped up in the house all week. Then once she was feeling better, the weather got bad. So Joel and I finally escaped the house and took Emma to the mall where she rode the carousel...she LOVED it!

Weekend in Fort Worth

Casey Emma and I went up to Fort Worth for the weekend to see Mimi and so that I could go to a girls brunch. On Friday night we went to have sushi and Emma had her first roll...it was an avocado roll and she loved it. Emma also came with me on Saturday to the girls brunch and got to see her new friends Dallas and Jack.

12 month Stats

I can not believe that Emma is 1! The whole day I kept going back to that day a year ago...a day I will never forget! Emma had her check up the day after we got back from the BVIs and everything is great! Emma has moved on to drinking real milk and weened herself off of the bottle within the week!

Little Dix Bay BVI

The day after Christmas we went to Little Dix Bay with Grandma and Grandpa Neland and Josh Kristin and Cora. The weather was good for most of the time, and we had a great time on the beach. Both Emma and Cora spent their first birthday in the islands! Emma loved the water but was not a big fan of the sand...Cora loved the sand! We had a great time scuba diving, laying in the sun, at the spa and spending time with family!!
